#CatchaBeetle verdict
We are overwhelmed and super happy with the last two weeks beetles plague. When thinking about this artistic challenge with our friends from MUT we could have never anticipated the warm reception of our #CatchaBeetle contest.
We want to thank to all the participants for the time taken by the preparation, the enthusiasm of the projects and above all, for the endless creative proposals received!
As in an art class, the noiseless and sculptural Beetle, the acoustic panel designed by MUT for Sancal, has been the reference and inspiration which has been reinterpreted with unimaginable combinations, incredible textures and multiple techniques, besides the new and interesting suggested new uses.
Due to the quality, variety and originality of all the proposals, the jury has decided to make a shortlist with the best works, according to the following categories: poetic, handcrafted, conceptual, re-edition and collage.
Without further ado… the winner is Jorge Ros with “Beetles live in the sand”. The jury has decided that this unusual diving board deserves the award for its beauty, originality and masterful execution.
Here below, the Shortlist:
POETICS
CONCEPTUALS
HANDCRAFTED
RE-EDITION
COLLAGES
The jury wanted to recognize fun as a fundamental part of the design work, hence this Special Mention to the work of the little ones, since, without a doubt, they have more than fulfilled the objective of the contest, which was none other than enjoying a good time.
