Coming together.
In Quechua Pakta means “unión”. This innovative restaurant unites Japanese gastronomy with ingredients from Peru with surprising results.
The visionaries behind the concept are Ferrán Adrià and his brother Albert. These household names are joined by Oliver Franz Schmidt and Natali Canas del Pozo, tasked with combining the architectural cues from such diverse cultures.
The base of the space, the bars the kitchen and the furniture, remind us of traditional Japanese taverns. The colour and contrast is Peruvian: traditional yarns adorn the walls giving an intricate 3D effect. The Midori chairs were chosen for their Japanese inspiration.
