Saying goodbye to Clara-Iris leaves a void in our hearts. Also, on our desk. Her twelve illustrations for the 2022 calendar have cheered us up over the past months, along with the wise life lessons inherent in each of them.
With Remnant, the artist illustrates this feeling about the end of the year. This design by Note starts from a reflection on how emptiness emphasises matter.
By acknowledging its existence, it becomes a design element as important as the objects themselves. For Note, Remnant would be the material that the sculptor might have discarded after creating Core. An ethereal and light silhouette whose seat seems to be suspended in the air.
But after this goodbye, we welcome 2023. What will this new year bring us?
