Sancal is part of Terra, an exhibition for Archiproducts Milan curated by Studiopepe.
This interior design by Chiara and Arianna highlights the inexorable connection between humans and nature. Conceived as a Design Experience, the exhibition is located in the Archiproducts showroom in Tortona and can be visited until March 2024.
The Earth is our home. Under this premise, this interior design project is conceived as a guided tour through the different rooms where you can find out the deep relationship between humans and nature. Nature is also the source of inspiration for the colours and materials.
The chromatic palette of surfaces and materials creates a visual continuity, and the furniture complements the interior with delicate tones of terracotta, sand and clay. Thus, a powerful connection is created through the senses: colour, light and textures are evocative. The Italian’s ability to combine shapes, materials and textures is transformed into a language of great poetic expressiveness.
Comfort is, on the one hand, visual, as it is a space conceived to transmit calm and warmth. Well-being also comes from the furniture, designs with a strong imprint that flow and come together with simplicity and coherence. Studiopepe has made a careful selection of pieces, among which we can find iconic Sancal products.
On the ground floor we find an intimate and fluid space, reserved for private tasks. The ochre and sand tones prevail in this room to offer a feeling of warmth and, also, security. They are also associated with the most nostalgic season, autumn, when people seek the warmth of interiors. The textures chosen for the surfaces and textiles also play with tactility.
A small reading corner is designed to ensure concentration and calm with the Diwan chaise longue. Elegant and refined, its generous and comfortable seating invites you to relax.
There is also a work and meeting table around which are placed the coquettish Magnum chairs with upholstered base. The irregular surface of the bouclé textile softens the solemnity of the shapes of these seats.
At the back of the room there is a small dressing room where the Remnant armchair, also upholstered in a three-dimensional fabric, presides over the space for a warm and pleasant seating experience.
The connection with the earth is also found in the organic forms and minimalism of the furniture, whose fluidity recalls the primordial essence of the earth’s womb. This airy space is also bright, reinforcing a sense of well-being.
The visual lightness is featured by the simplicity of the Roll chair and the glass top of the sculptural Vestige table. Both pieces have become an iconic pair as together they create a pleasant area.
This room is marked by the soft shapes, earthy colours and warm textures of the small, functional occasional furniture such as the Pion tables, which are displayed in different versions and finishes, as well as the Dividuals poufs, upholstered in a flurry fabric.
At Archiproducts Milano 2023, the tactile and sensorial experience is marked by the harmony of silhouettes, materials and finishes, making what seemingly impossible combinations are naturally possible.
