We preserve the festive spirit of this commemorative textile through the sobriety of black and white.
First presented as a concept in a vibrant orange shade to commemorate our 50th anniversary, the exclusive Fiesta fabric was the centre of attention during the last edition of the Salone in Milan. Drawing on customer feedback, the cheerful and fresh spirit of the brand is still the essence of Fiesta, although we opted for a more classic palette for the production version.
Although this is not our first incursion into the textile field, as we previously explored it with Rift and Zero, on this occasion we decided to venture into 3D knitwear in collaboration with the Byborre team, combining our artistic vision with their technological expertise. At Sancal we value the importance of taking risks in terms of design, as it enriches our identity as a firm, encourages us to grow from experience and gives us the opportunity to explore disciplines related to our core business that add value to our catalogue.
With Fiesta we play with contrasts. White; luminous, and clean against the mysterious, formal black. The sobriety and elegance of the colourways against Estudio Sancal’s informal patterns.
The yarn colours, and their knitted confection, create great volume. Made from 60% merino wool, it is soft to touch, and adapts perfectly to the contours of Sancal’s products thanks to its natural elasticity.
The use of durable, resistant, and high-quality materials defines the quality of this fabric. The production processes significantly reduce environmental impact by reducing water consumption by 45%, energy by 15%, and carbon emissions by 22%, dispensing with harmful chemicals. This commitment is backed by certifications such as Oeko-Tex and Global Recycled Standard.
